Hello Eldora Uphillers and Registered Morning Grind Racers,
Due to the possibility of significant snowfall Tuesday into Wednesday, we are anticipating a challenging Wednesday morning for our operations teams, and so we have decided to postpone the second Morning Grind uphill race and close early-uphill access on Wednesday morning, February 15. Here are those details and a few more. Please read this email thoroughly.
Morning Grind Race #2 Postponed to Wednesday, March 15
If you are registered for what would have been Morning Grind Race #2 this Wednesday, February 15, we will automatically transfer your registration and fee to the new date of Wednesday, March 15. If that date does not work for your schedule, we're happy to refund your race fee ($25 for single-race purchasers; $20 for series purchasers). If you are interested in a refund, please email info@eldora.com with subject "Morning Grind Race #2 Refund Inquiry". The revised schedule of remaining races is now March 1 and March 15.
Early Uphill Access Closure for Wednesday, February 15
Early uphill access will be closed on Wednesday, February 15 due to the weather forecast. Why? When we get big snow, it becomes exponentially more challenging for our operations teams to prepare the mountain to open safely and on-time, and it is operationally difficult to accommodate out-of-hours guest activity on the mountain. Eldora staffers will be feverishly shoveling out buildings and lifts, getting cats and snowmobiles off the hill, plowing, performing avalanche mitigation, and executing many other crucial behind-the-scenes tasks. On these days, opening safely and on time is our priority. And given our relatively small size and high demand, so is providing the joyous experience of fresh snow as equitably as possible, for uphill and downhill guests alike. Daytime uphill access will still be open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Please Help Spread the Word

The daily snow and operations update is usually posted by 6:30 AM.
Single-Occupancy Vehicle Fees
As a reminder, if we end up reporting 10 or more inches on Wednesday morning, Boulder County requires us to charge single-occupancy vehicles (SOVs) $10 apiece. You can read about that requirement here.
Armband/Pass Reminder
Just a reminder that your uphill pass must be visible inside of your armband while you uphill at Eldora. Place your pass over the card with the QR code so mountain staff can easily do a quick visual check of your pass if need be. The QR code card should be kept in your armband, underneath your pass, so you always have quick/easy reference to Eldora's uphill policies. If you have not picked up your armband yet, you can get it between 8:00 and 4:00 at any ticket counter, or at the Nordic Center beginning at 7:00 AM.
